The Guardian describes the Arctic Monkeys’ new album as “running wild in a new and sumptuous musical landscape,” adding that it “contains some of the richest and most rewarding vocal performances of Alex Turner’s career.”
One song has already been released called “There’d Better be a Mirror Ball” and is described as being the most clear cut breakup song the group has ever made. The new album is named “The Car” and the whole theme is returning to earth after being in space for so long. It is going for a more mellow tone and tons of fans are looking forward to it.
The album is set to release October 21 of this year, right in time for autumn, which matches the mellow vibes. The artwork for this album is actually a picture taken by the drummer Matt Helder. In preparation for the album’s release they announced new tour dates all around the world. Tickets average at about $171.
