The Pulse is an award-winning publication of Indian Trail High School & Academy in Kenosha, Wis. The paper provides a forum for students, staff, and the community of Indian Trail, encouraging the exchange of ideas while striving to provide fair, accurate, and entertaining reporting. The views and opinions expressed on the editorial page are not those of Indian Trail administration, staff, or the Kenosha Unified School District. The commentaries are those of Pulse staff writers, guest columnists, and students themselves. In 2011 and 2012, The Pulse took third place for “General Excellence” in the statewide high school newspaper competition, sponsored by the Wisconsin Newspaper Association. Individual writers have also earned first place honors in column writing and advertising.
