Games Live Within Pixels

Everyone has been a gamer once in his or her life, whether a first generation adult or fourth generation kid. Whether it be new age technology video games or the popular old school arcade games.

Speaking of old arcade games, they star in the exciting movie Pixels. In this new mix of old school technology, the arcade games declare war on the human race. Adam Sandler stars with his friends Kevin James, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad and Michelle Monaghan, fighting to save the world from total annihilation from our favorite past time games such as Pac-Man, Galactica, and Centipede.

Video games have always provided a happy and safe place for us, but what if they now are trying to kill the human race and destroy the very world that we live in? Who could picture themselves, light gun in hand fighting video games, turning our peaceful arcade games into something fearful and dangerous?

Pixels offers both action and fantasy, athough critics have suggested Adam Sandler and his friends just used the movie to mess around. Still, it was a huge task getting the designs right for each individual game. Imagine someone sitting at a computer working on mak- ing the games and creating the destruction that the games left behind in their path to look to-tally pixelated.

Is it worth spending $9.25 to go see this 106 minute movie? Yes, it’s totally worth going and seeing this movie with the family or with friends. So do the games live within you?
