On March 6, Indian Trail’s Kenosha Military Academy hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Italian American Club. The KMA also worked with two groups, the Wounded Warrior Project and the All Airborne Chapters, and each group received 20 percent of whatever the academy earned.
Their goal was to raise about $5,000 and they came close.
This is one of the KMA’s first fundraisers. The money that Wounded Warrior Project receives goes to not only the wounded soldiers but to their families also. The KMA made just over $4,000 and they donated a total of $1,000 combined to both the Wounded Warrior Project and the All Airborne Chapters.
“We do plan on leaving this fundraiser for the next year’s cadets. And it is up to them if they want to continue it or not,” said John Benkovich, Command Sergeant Major.
ITHS&A and KMA thanked all the students, teachers and families that contributed to this cause in helping raise money not just for their academy but also for the Wounded Warrior Project and the All Airborne Chapters.
