Thunder skates through successful season

The 2016-2017 Kenosha Thunder season is now under way. The team is off to a great start with the record of 8-6-0. Coach J.K. Litkey is once again behind the bench coaching the team.

“The season has gone well this far. We have hit a few bumps in the road the last few weeks but we are working hard to overcome them,” Litkey said.

The Thunder has its share of great players. Nick Elsen, a General Studies senior from Indian Trail, has been a stellar player so far. He leads the team with 33 points. Along with Elsen, his linemates Cody Faber, from Wilmot, and Max Maegaard, from Tremper, are assisting Elsen to help him tally up the points.

“Our season highlight was the win against Marquette High School which was the first in Thunder history,” Litkey said.

The Thunder has three games left. By press time, the Thunder will have one game remaining against Waupan on Friday, Feb 10.
