Dear all makeup lovers,

Do you ever get asked why you wear makeup? Makeup critics jump quickly to assume the reason you wear cosmetics is because of insecurities, self-hatred or even the attention of men.

This is not the case. To be completely honest, women love gliding on lipstick or putting on mascara. Women use makeup as an act to make themselves feel better. Everybody should know that beauty starts on the inside, and not in the brand of foundation used.

Ladies, you shouldn’t be ashamed of the amount of makeup on your face, as long as you feel comfortable at the end of the night when it all comes off.  Using foundation can make those unwanted blemishes or blackheads disappear just for those short hours. When using concealer, you can make those treacherous dark circles under your eyes perk up while it lasts. Or when a woman conquers that winged eyeliner, she’s unstoppable.

Some women strive to wear makeup in different ways because they see the chance to stand out, compared to someone who doesn’t like wearing makeup who is just as beautiful when not wearing makeup.

How I see it is, your face is a canvas. A beautiful canvas. So lovers of makeup, put up your brushes and dampen the beauty blenders because you deserve love too!
