Condoleezza Rice

Condoleezza holds the honor of being the first female African American Secretary of State.

She defied all expectations, growing up in the South during the tumultuous times of the Civil Rights Movement, she still earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science.

During George W. Bush’s second term, she became Secretary of State and used her position to push for greater change in what she believed in.

An inspiration to all in many respects, Condoleezza continues to spread her knowledge and beliefs as a college professor and political scientist at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Maxine Waters

Maxine Waters currently serves as a U.S. congresswoman for the state of California. She is in her 15th term of being in the House of Representatives.

Her accomplishments as a politician are looked up to by many. She promoted aid to poor and minority neighborhood in the U.S. She also fought institutionalized racial segregation in South Africa.

She often speaks in direct opposition of reigning authority, exercising her right to freedom of speech to the maximum. She sets an excellent example to today’s revolutionary youth.

Merida

“If you had the power to change your fate, would you?”

We all know who said this iconic quote. It’s the iconic Princess Merida of course! Hitting the theatres on June 22, 2012, we were introduced to the Kingdom of DunBroch where the archery princess lives.

Merida is known for her strong independence, not wanting a prince to come and do everything for her.

She is willing to go against the norm and go her own way. Merida overcomes her own obstacles and does what it takes to achieve anything.

She is a strong Disney Princess that many young girls look up to.
