At the same time children were trick or treating on Oct. 31, about 25 Indian Trail DECA students collected nonperishable food items from several neighboring subdivisions as part of the Trick or Can drive.
Students gathered more than 1,600 items and delivered them to the Grace Food Pantry, a community outreach program for the needy at Grace Church.
