IT yearbook adviser wins KEMPA honors

IT Yearbook adviser Michelle Corbett received Yearbook Adviser of the Year award from KEMPA at the organization’s fall virtual journalism conference. She was selected because of her commitment to scholastic journalism excellence and ability to inspire and support her students.

Annually, at the Fall Scholastic Journalism Conference business meeting of KEMPA, the organization honors Advisers of the Year. Advisers may be nominated by their publication staffs, administrators or peers. The 2020 Jan Kohls Yearbook Adviser recently went to Michelle Corbett, Indian Trail High School and Academy’s adviser of The Blaze.

The Pulse news editor Elly Herrick interviewed Corbett and her staff earlier this month. Follow the link to the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1drddKfvZfHkp09i7YxhB6XsiRjd8uF7_/view?usp=sharing
