There are an infinite amount of clothes you can combine to create a stellar outfit. When you buy a fresh new outfit, there is one finishing touch that is a necessity to complete the outfit. I’m talking about the shoes of course, the make-or-break to any and every outfit ever.

A good pair of flashy shoes could genuinely turn a decent fit into a fire fit. Think about the shoes as the cherry on top of all your outfits. Senior James Lunt sees the fit as complicated. “There could be a negative side to it with people who are always caught up in shoes and will spend thousands and thousands of dollars on shoes, but then there’s the cool aspect of it where if you throw together a nice outfit, you can appreciate the nice outfit.”
When talking about shoes, sneakers have taken the spotlight as the freshest kicks on the block. Nike has a neat selection of styles: Air Jordan, Air Forces, Air Max, Nike Blazers, Nike Dunks, and Nike Canvas. Maybe you like Chuck Taylor Converse more? VANS? New Balance?
Sneakers have really strong-armed themselves into everyone’s closet. The love for the variety in colors, models, and value in sneakers has built a community. “Sneaker Culture” or “Sneaker Head” are terms used to describe people who have a passion for the sneaker lifestyle. Many different subcultures of sneakers one of if not the most influential is of course Air Jordan.

Air Jordan has 20+ models with different themed colors. Collaborations with celebrities, designers, and even other brands. Originally a sports shoe worn on the court, now dominates in the sneaker industry. Senior Camden Grund is a big Jordans fan. “I think Jordans are the most iconic and will never go out of style. They have a whole bunch of different shoes and I think they all look nice. Jordan 1s are the best. They’re just the OGs, they made Jordan. They were banned from the NBA which gives them aura. They have like any color you could ever want.”
