The boys volleyball team is up and running and has a fresh new start. With no returners that received all conference accolades, the team is fresh and has a ton of potential.
The Hawks do have a lot of talent with Senior Louis Nixon, Junior Ryan Landgraf, and Sophomore John Quinn.
After going 10-16 last year, the team looks to go for a winning season. At the end of last year, it lost three all conference performers due to graduation. Paul Eggers, who was first team all conference and honorable mention all state, will be most missed.
Nixon and Landgraf look to pick up the slack with Landgraf leading the state in assists and Nixon being 10th in the state in attack kills. Quinn is also 12th in the state in attack kills, and with him only being a sophomore that is a very bright spot for the Hawks.
Also, Junior Bryan Milligan looks to be a key factor for the Hawks.
“We want to just make it as far as we can this year,” said Milligan.
The Hawks are looking good this season and are pushing towards conference meet with mo- mentum.
“We just want to be ready when that confer- ence is here,” said Nixon.
