On Nov. 25, the bands filled the auditorium of Indian Trail with their amazing music. From the music featured in the musical Wicked played by the Symphonic Band, to entertaining Percussion Ensemble’s Bein Sabroso, the bands entertained a crowd of about 1,000 people.
“We’ve been working really hard at all the music, every concert is fun.” said Kyle Bergendahl, a trumpet player in the Symphonic Band.
The auditorium was completely packed as the Concert Band took the stage. Between the five bands, Concert, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Symphonic Winds, the concert had a total of eight songs.
“As an ensemble we really blended together and worked together,” said Ken Wiele, band director.
The band students have been working hard this year for this concert and it showed. Everyone played extremely well and looked very professional on stage.
“Band is like a family and even if someone doesn’t have family there, their family will be there, because we’re family,” said Skylar Vernezze, a percussionist in the Symphonic Band.
The Symphonic Winds concluded the concert with music from the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, and students were proud, having played to the best of their abilities.
