The new CW show The Flash is off and running, and fast! The show pre- miered with 7.1 million viewers, which is the largest premier since 2008. The creators of the CW hit show Arrow developed the series. With so many super- power shows on the air nowadays, you have to think what makes this different? Is this going to be the same as every other super dude. That’s where people are wrong. This show has the potential to run for a long time.

The cast is the bread and butter of this series with upcoming star Grant Gus- tin, the former Gleevil star from Fox hit and miss show Glee. Many people were unsure how he would play the Scarlet Speedster, considering he looks nothing like the comic icon. Gustin is not the only speedster in this show with John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen. Many people that were born after 1990 do not know this, but Shipp wore the mantle as the Flash in the 1990 show. The show is also bringing in some seasoned veterans from the show Prison Break, including Wentworth Miller as one of the well-known villains, Captain Cold.

With quick witty banter and heart-warming moments and the same out-of- the-comic feel as Arrow, The Flash is a show you don’t want to miss. With only four episodes in and a full season already ordered, it sees that The Flash is running away with the ratings, running circles around its competitors.
