College football has always been scrutinized for its bowl season and the way teams are chosen for championship games. So the committee decided to change it all. The 2014-15 season will be a great prototype for college football for years to come.
There will be playoffs for the first time ever in college football. No more bowl game system. Many thought there really wasn’t that much accomplishment or pride in winning a bowl game.
Critics of the bowl games would think this is the perfect resolution to the error prone system the NCAA was using for college football.
But there are still many aspects to put into consideration that could potentially reject this.
The college football playoff committee will still have to choose against great teams. There will be let downs and disappointments after the playoff teams are announced.
This season, there has been a big spread of great teams. Mississippi State University, Auburn University, Florida State University, University of Oregon, Texas Christian University, and as always the University of Alabama to name a few. The college football committee will have to cut two of these great teams.
There are also teams like Kansas State University, Michigan State University, Arizona State University, and Notre Dame who only posted one loss at the time the first college football playoff ranking debuted.
Until college football can somewhat mimic the playoff system college bas- ketball uses, which involves all of the top teams from all of the conferences, there will be problems and limitations that are not fair for a lot of schools.
