It’s not every day you can find a treasure that doesn’t make you pay a lot. So when you do encounter this rare gem, you grab it in a heartbeat. The best part is your bank account won’t be screaming after you swipe your credit card. Compare this to a retail store with skyrocketed prices that make you want to cry and rethink your job.
But I have the solution to save you from all of that emotion. Here are the magic words to solve all these issues: thrift stores!
I’m pretty sure having a “thrifting addiction” is possible, or I might have just created it. It is the ability to search for comfy tees, vintage jeans and the best part, endless deals upon deals.
Going along with the addiction, you get a pure rush of excitement as you enter the store because you never know what you might find! Call me crazy, but hey I’m crazy for a crazy good deal, if you get what I’m dealing out? Ha.
The idea of being able to donate your old clothing and having it become someone’s new love is quite amazing! I always wonder when I buy a piece of clothing from the thrift store what it’s been through. When you go to a second-hand store each piece has its own story.
I’m pretty sure a couple of employees from each local thrift store know who I am by now because I do take several trips in a month. But the best part about going thrifting is that new things are placed every day.
The thing I do struggle with when I go thrifting is seeing other trendy people shopping and knowing they’ve already gotten ahead of me searching for the best stuff. But if this was a competitive sport, I’d actually take first in it, without any actual physical endurance. Well if you consider trying on a cart full of clothing, then yeah, call me “in shape.”
If you’ve never tried experiencing the “rush” of thrifting, then I highly suggest you try it. Being able to find a piece of clothing that can tell a story for under $5 is quite a unique story to tell.
So I dare you to step out into this new trend and discover all the new things that can be discovered.
