1.) Breakfast Club (1985)
Five kids who have violated high school regulations now have to serve detention on a Saturday. Seriously? A Saturday? Yup. As they’re supposedly “locked” in the library all day, the truth spills, and commotion breaks loose. The cast includes the obnoxious tough guy, played by Judd Nelson, the insecure cloud of darkness played by Ally Sheedy, the deeply handsome jock: Emilio Estevez, and the human brain: Anthony Michael Hall. We also can’t 
forget the gorgeous prom queen played by Molly Ringwald. What will these kids uncover as they dig deep for the truth in everyone?
Of course let’s not forget about the soundtrack that will make your heart throb. It features the classic, “Don’t You Forget About Me” which became a No.1 smash hit for the band Simple Minds.
2.) Can’t Buy Me Love (1987)
A nerdy high schooler known as Ronald Miller (Patrick Dempsey) comes in like the knight and shining armor that he is and saves Cindy Mancini (Amanda Peterson) as
she practically destroys her mother’s designer outfit. As she’s frantically scrambling to find $1,000 to replace the outfit, Ronald agrees to give her the money in exchange for something: a relationship. For a whole month, Cindy must pretend to be dating Ronald. What will result from this “fake” love? Is social success in high school really everything to Ronald?
3.) Grease (1978)
Welcome to the most successful musical movie of all time, Grease, a story of friendship, adventure and balancing the social scene at Rydell High School. Slick back your hair fellas and meet Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and ladies whip out those pretty pink poodle skirts and show some love to Sandy Dumbrowski (Olivia Newton-John).
Danny and Sandy: a summer love that happened so fast. Travel through the 1950s with these rockin’ and rollin’ teens. Experience the emotions of the new exchange student. You can almost smell the leather jacket aroma as these two love birds try and cross cliques. I’ve got chills and they’re multiplying just reading this as Danny Zuko would say.
4.) Sixteen Candles (1984)
As Samantha’s (Molly Ringwald) 16th birthday arrives, so does the day of her sister’s wedding. The worst day ever for Samantha. How do your own parents forget your 
birthday? Well besides that terrible situation, she’s got heart eyes for senior Jake (Michael Schoeffling), but dreads that her chastity will turn off the most popular guy in school. But someone’s feelings grow towards Samantha, the affection of nerdy Ted (Anthony Michael Hall), probably the biggest turn off in her dictionary. But at the moment he is the only boy who is taking an interest in her. How will she survive this heart throbbing, lovesick mess? Sorry Ted, step aside because Samantha has her heart set on that dreamy senior named Jake.
5.) Dazed and Confused (1993)
The rush of the last day of high school finally hits as this movie takes you through the journey of a group of rowdy teens. The incoming freshmen must endure hazing from the new seniors taking over in the fall. This movie takes you through the journey of rebellious teens, mailbox smashing activities, and most importantly partying it up ‘80s style.
6.) Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)
Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) develops the soon-to-be-cool reputation of cutting class and getting away with it. Let’s not forget to mention he does it in a pretty radical way. With the mindset of a soon-to-be high school graduate, he intends to take one more big break before that day, and sets off on a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago. But principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones) is determined to catch him in the act and finally put an end to his class skipping routine. Will he succeed?
8.) Dirty Dancing (1987)
Jennifer Grey, known as Baby, begins the summer with her parents at a summer country club resort, wanting to make something of her youth, but she soon becomes disappointed. The resort’s dance instructor, Johnny (Patrick Swayze), is in need of a new dance partner, so Baby steps up. They fall in love, but her father quickly forbids the love. She’s determined to perform the last big dance of the summer, no matter what her father says.
9.) The Outsiders (1983)
A teen gang in Oklahoma, the well known Greasers, is at the bottom of the food chain compared to its rival gang The Socials. When the Greasers’ Ponyboy (C. Thomas Howell) and Johnny (Ralph Macchio) get into a fight, it ends with a tragedy on the Socials’ side. The boys must take shelter and hide. Should they confess to the incident and accept the consequences?
