Spooktober is here, and that means: pumpkin spice, candy, and a whole lot of scares. And Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America is the place to be for scares.

With 304 acres of fright, visitors will never run out of things to do. Fright Fest enthusiasts will nd two new haunted houses and a rearrangement of the grounds. With a larger scare staff than the previous year, there are more screams to go around.

A more uncommon Fright Fest treasure is the shows. Love at First Fright is a family friendly show for all ages. Celebrating its 27th year, Fright Fest offers something scary for everyone; although, the longtime crowd pleaser — the No Mercy showing — was removed this season because it contained explicit behavior unsuitable for children.

Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Il. is a great weekend excursion for anyone. Six Flags is open Friday through Sunday, every weekend, and also on Halloween. Make sure to get there soon, as Oct. 31 is the last day of Fright Fest for the year.
