CES(Consumer Electronics Show) kicked off 2020 with an amazing look into some new technological advancements that may be coming soon. Giant companies like Sam- sung, Sony, Audio-Technica, Amazon and more use the event to show off their new cutting edge advancements. This year we saw many new announcements that have the public’s expectations high. Products ranging from new phones to a fully AI (Artificial Intelligence) controlled city were announced.

LG announced their new “real 8k” televisions; this might be a subtle jab at Samsung for their 8k televisions. Long story short, LG and Samsung have different ways of measuring 8k and different certificates for it like the 8k Association. LG is not a part of this association but Samsung is.

Samsung announced their wearable robotic exoskeleton made to help physically disabled individuals. The company has also announced new improvements to its virtual assistant Bixby, more specifically developers are making a small ball that follows you around as your personalized assistant. Sort of like the robot from Star Wars “BB8.”

One of Samsung’s biggest announcements was their plans to solve the problem of massive amounts of people living in big cities. With what Samsung calls “smarter buildings,” they plan to make a fully AI moderated city of the future.

Other announcements are that Sony, creator of the Playstation, is now going to start making electric smart vehicles. Audio-Technica also unveiled “true wireless” and noise-canceling earbuds, the ATH-ANC300TW.

CES displayed a lot this year that leaves people with a sense of excitement of what is to come for the future. Every time CES happens, we get a step closer to achieving what the Back To The Future movies depicted for the future.
