Final exams can be very stressful, especially for those who have never taken them before. But Indian Trail High School & Academy has found a way to relieve some of that stress.
Cocoa and Cram is a study session held by Link Crew for freshmen and includes a side of snacks. This year’s event was Jan. 16 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the library and drew about 300 students. It helped them deal with the stress of finals.
“I enjoy Cocoa and Cram because it helped me as a freshman, and I’d like to pass on the favor,” Link Crew member Annika Benton said.
Freshmen see the bene ts almost immediately.
“I think Cocoa and Cram was good for me because I got to just sit down and study, with help wherever I needed,” freshman Alli Sutti said.
Cocoa and Cram is one of two major study sessions. Its counterpart, Lemonade and Learn, is held in the springtime.
“I never went to cocoa and cram as a freshman, and missed out on a lot of fun,” Communications Academy junior Jayda Galloway said.
The upcoming Lemonade and Learn is open to all freshmen in all academies. It’s usually scheduled the week before finals.
