Corner Bakery Cafe is a newer place in town, at The Corners at Prairie Ridge, in the plaza right by MoD Pizza, Bentley’s Pet Stuff, and Sleep Number. This lookalike Panera has many differ- ences when comparing the two. In Cor-ner Bakery Cafe they do not have trash cans out in the open or a place to put your trays. Instead they have wait staff to do table service who bring the food and pick it up.
It is a pretty spacious place, but like Panera Bread, it can get crowded. The
food is not as good as Panera, but the pricing is roughly the same. When you rst walk in, you’re automatically in line. You are given a number tag for your food. They have pretty good ser- vice for the most part, unless it is a busy day. I would give this 3.5 forks out of 5. It is not gross, but not as good as Panera Bread.
Panera Bread began in 1981, with a food policy consisting of healthy ingredients. When you walk in, it smells like fresh baked goods and bread. Most days it is jammed pack and you are lucky if you can nd a spot to sit down! They always offer a 99-cent pastry if you order a meal.
Panera Bread
In comparing Panera Bread to Corner Bakery Cafe, Panera does not do table service. Instead it has multiple trash cans available for you to put your waste and another area next to it to put your plates, bowls, cups, and silverware. Panera Bread also gives you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready.
A newer thing about Panera Bread is they now do carryout/order on- line. When ordering online, they will have it ready for pickup and it will be placed in a little cubby for pickup. They also deliver!
Their soups are delicious, as well as their salads and sandwiches. Panera’s drive thru is most always busy. Price- wise, Panera Bread is expensive. All and all, because of the deliciousness and service Panera deserves a 4 forks out of 5.
