Senior says thank you to teachers

By Katrina Jansen-Buciuni, Editor in Chief

To the teachers who inspired me throughout the years, I want to start this by saying thank you.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have several teachers in my life who have made an impact on me, from elementary school through my final days in high school.

I’ve learned something from eachone of you. But the thing I’ll remember the most, that all of you have taught me, is to be happy with whatever I pursue, pursue it with 110 percent and don’t look back.

I thank you for tolerating my unbearable humor, because I know I can be quite cheesy at times. There are also my sassy outbreaks. I thank you for taking the time to help me, lead me and most importantly guide me as I get ready to enter the world as a young adult.

Leaving high school will be difficult for me because I enjoy coming to class. Shocker right? But I love learning and being taught by someone who is passionate, who takes pride in what they’re teaching, and that’s rare nowadays. So students, when you have teachers like that, cherish them, because those teachers are unforgettable.

Teachers have a way of influencing their students. It’s amazing to see. That’s why I’ve been inspired to become a teacher myself. I’m not sure what I’ll be teaching yet, but I just know that I want to impact and make a difference in the youth of this generation. I thank the amazing teachers I’ve had throughout my entire schooling career for that.

Thank you for everything you do. Teachers don’t hear it enough, so I’ll say it one more time, thank you. It’s quite difficult for me to write this, if I’m being honest. You’ve shown me how to become so passionate about things I didn’t even know I could love. So I thank you for everything you do, and I will cherish it forever.
